Molecular diagnostic company Myriad Genetics has acquired Crescendo Biosciences for $270 million, in cash, which included repayment of a $25 million loan that Myriad made to Crescendo in 2011. Wellness app maker Noom has secured an additional $2.9 million, bringing their latest round to $7 million. The round was led by New York-based RRE Ventures with participation from TransLink Capital, Recruit Strategic Partners, Scrum Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures and Harbor Pacific Capital. Cost transparency company Castlight Health has filed paperwork for an initial public offering with the SEC, according to a report by Dan Primack over at Fortune.
