This morning Toronto-based home care platform AlayaCare announced that it scored $13.8 million in a Series B funding round led by inovia capital, with participation from Chrysalis and Fonds Innovexport.
Focused on providing home healthcare workers and clients with tools, the company’s software has several different platforms including a mobile app and clinical documentation tool.

Chicago-based PreparedHealth, which makes a care coordination platform focused on aging-in-place populations, has raised $4 million in seed funding in a round led by Chicago Ventures. Pritzker Group Venture Capital, Beverly Capital and Meridian Street Capital also contributed.

Intel announced a whole slew of new customers for its Intel Health Guide in the U.S., including the Veterans Affairs (VA) Rural Resource Center Western Region, Memorial Hospital and Health System in South Bend, Indiana; Nightingale Home Healthcare of Indiana; and all seven independently owned offices of the Home Care Group.

Philips has inked a deal with the largest health insurer in the Netherlands, Achmea, for a pilot home healthcare project that could eventually become rolled out across Europe.
